Resident Policies & Procedures
Rent Policies
$130 rent is required weekly each Sunday. Payments may be made by credit card on the One Step app, or cash can be paid to the Director of Housing or the Executive Director at the office on the following Monday.
Failure to pay rent will result in dismissal from the program.
New residents arriving on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday will be considered in their first week. For new residents arriving on Thursday or Friday, the following Sunday starts their first week.
A receipt for rent payment will be given to the resident each week.
Upon request, a log of consistent rent payments will be given to the resident to assist in securing another place to live upon graduation.
A new resident is given the first 2 weeks rent-free. Rent starts on the 3rd week. No exceptions. If you cannot pay your rent, you will not be allowed to stay in the program.
A $100.00 deposit will be required which will be refunded to the resident once they exit the program, if they have been a resident in good standing and leave in good standing giving a two-week notice. This refund is contingent on the resident graduating or self-exiting after a minimum of 6 months in the program with Resident Manager approval. If the resident relapses or is asked to leave because of non-compliance, the deposit will not be refunded.
If residents cannot pay the $100 deposit, the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th weeks will be charged $155 per week to cover the deposit. Week 7, rent will be maintained at $130/week.
You must have a $0 balance within 60 days of entering the LP program. Failure to comply with this will result in dismissal from the program.
There are NO financial transactions allowed between residents, Resident Managers or peer leaders; this includes borrowing money, selling personal items, and owing money.
Drug & Alcohol Policies
Prospective Launch Pad residents will be drug screened upon arrival on campus. They will NOT be allowed to enter the program if they test positive for alcohol or drugs.
Launch Pad residents will be randomly tested for drugs and alcohol.
Residents must submit to drug screening when asked. Refusal to submit to screening within 2 hours will be considered a positive drug test and the resident will be dismissed from the program.
Residents must adhere to the drug screening protocol set forth by RM.
Residents will be drug screened automatically upon missing curfew and will be charged $10 for
this additional drug screen.
Residents will be drug screened after time-away passes.
The following medications are not accepted at The Launch Pad:

Chlordiazepoxide (Librium)
Clonazepam (Klonopin)
Dextroamphetamine (Adderall)
Diazepam (Valium)
Eszopiclone (Lunesta)

NO MAT including, but not limited to, Suboxone, Subutex, Methadone, Subclade
*The only MAT drug accepted is Vivitrol under a provider’s care.
These are also prohibited at The Launch Pad:
CBD / THC / Delta 8 products & Kratom, Blue Rise, Red Dawn, ZaZa (Tianeptine)
12-Step Programs
The Launch Pad is rooted in following a 12-step program. You will be required to:
Attend 4 AA / NA / CR meetings per week until starting a job.
Attend 3 AA / NA / CR meetings per week after starting a job.
One meeting per week must be an all-women’s meeting.
You may only attend up to 2 meetings per day to count toward your requirements.
Resident must sign in to all meetings on One Step or a physical check-in sheet.
Resident must obtain a Sponsor within the first 30 days of entering the LP program.
Must complete an IOP program if recommended by the Director of Housing.
Work Policies
Resident will obtain a full-time (30 hours/week; W9) job within the first 30 days of entering the
LP program.
No 3rd shift jobs are allowed. No shifts can be scheduled past 5:00 pm on Sunday nights.
If a job requires 2nd shift work, the resident must agree to have the Life 360 app on their phone
and share their location by 10:00 pm.
Residents must provide a pay stub for job verification and a weekly schedule if required by Resident Manager.
Quitting a job without RM approval is grounds for dismissal.
Community Service
Residents must serve 5 hours of community service per month.
Community service is defined as something done IN the community or to IMPROVE the community.
Community Service must be pre-approved by RM, DOH or ED unless already listed below:
Volunteering for your church.
Volunteering with the Oak Grove community service group.
Working with other LP residents to improve the neighborhood with LP activities such as painting a house, picking up trash in the neighborhood, pressure washing, or weeding.
Working in the Launch Pad or Creek House yards
Relationship Policies
No relationships or sex within the first 90 days of being at The Launch Pad.
The only exception is being married before entering the program with a legal marriage certificate.
There are NO romantic relationships amongst residents. This is grounds for immediate dismissal from the
LP program for BOTH residents.
A pregnancy must be reported immediately. The resident will be referred to a women's andchildren’s program. They may reside at LP through their first trimester.
The Launch Pad will provide access to free birth control through A Step Ahead. Residents are encouraged to be on birth control.
House Rules
No candles or wax burners in upstairs rooms.
No adjusting thermostats; the temperature must remain at a constant 71 degrees.
No vaping or smoking inside the houses.
Ashtrays must be emptied after use.
Outside doors must remain LOCKED; every resident will receive a door code upon arrival.
The Resident Manager’s room is off limits without permission.
Use common sense; leave things as you found them or better; if you dirty a dish or make a mess in
the kitchen or bathroom, clean it up.
NO personal items are to be left in showers including shampoo, conditioner, razors, soap, sponges, loofas.
Clean drain of your hair after showering.
Sanitary items need to be wrapped in tissue before being thrown in the trash. DO NOT FLUSH these!
House Restrictions
The first 2 weeks of residency will be considered House Restriction.
Residents may only leave the LP campus for job search, 12-Step mtgs, IOP, work, or church.
A Resident may have (1) 4-hour pass/week during the first 14 days for approved family visitation.
A Resident may be put back on House Restriction at any time for non-compliance with TLP program at the discretion of their RM or DOH.
Residents must sign in and out of the house for any reason in the first 30 days.
No passes will be allowed if the Resident is not in good standing (any rent owed).
Nighttime Curfew & Morning Expectations
7:00 pm for new residents until they start a job.
10:00 pm for residents after they start a job.
10:00 am – all residents up, out of bed, dressed, room cleaned, and house hore completed.
Note: The Executive Director and/or President of the board may bring guests to tour LP homes after 10:00 am
without prior notice.
Social Media & Technology Rules
NO posting that shows TLP location or where the location can be identified.
NO posting with men.
NO posting from an establishment that serves alcohol.
NO complaining about the program or rules.
Resident must relinquish phone for a phone sweep upon request. Failure to do so is a means for dismissal.
Chores
Chores will be assigned by the Resident Manager or Peer Leader for each resident. Residents are expected to complete a deep cleaning of the house 1x/month. The houses must be clean and beds made at all times.
Daily Chores will be checked at 10:00 am each day.
Weekly cleaning under beds is required of all residents.
Chores will be reassigned every 3 months.
Dress Code
Appropriate clothing must be worn by all residents when outside of their room, especially when representing TLP, including 12-step meetings, church, social outings, and TLP approved events.
Appropriate Clothing is defined as:
▪ No tank tops that show bosom or bra straps.
▪ No pants that are too tight/too small; no pants that fall below underwear.
▪ No t-shirts with Alcohol, Drug or Bar references.
▪ No shirts that show midriff.
▪ No skirts or shorts that show the buttocks area.
Visitation
Residents may NOT go into another resident’s room for any reason.
Residents may not go into another resident’s house unless they are there for a pre-approved meeting or resident program.
Residents may have pre-approved family visits on Launch Pad campus on Sundays from 1 – 3.
Visitors must be pre-approved by RM.
Visitors must stay downstairs or in the backyard. No room visits.
Passes
First 2 weeks – (1) 4-hour pass/week
90 days in TLP – (1) 24-hour pass/month
6 months in TLP – (1) 48-hour pass/month
9 months in TLP – (1) 24-hour pass/week
Passes may not be given or can be revoked if the resident owes rent, chores are incomplete, or any other breach of house rules.
Future passes will be denied if any information is falsified.
Pets
NO Pets of any kind are allowed in the Launch Pad homes.
The only exception is that each Resident Manager may have a pet in their room.
Dogs are NOT allowed to be on the furniture.
Resident Managers are responsible for cleaning up dog poop in the yard.
Visitation
Residents may NOT go into another resident’s room for any reason.
Residents may not go into another resident’s house unless they are there for a pre-approved meeting or resident program.
Residents may have pre-approved family visits on Launch Pad campus on Sundays from 1 – 3.
Visitors must be pre-approved by RM.
Visitors must stay downstairs or in the backyard. No room visits.
Vehicles
Proof of license, insurance, and registration is required for a resident to have a vehicle. This must be
given to RM before the vehicle is allowed on LP property.
Cars that leak oil or fluid must be parked in an alternate location. It is the responsibility of the car
owner to clean up any damage done to LP driveways.
Transportation Requests for LP Vans
Requests for TLP van transportation must be made IN WRITING to the RM at least 48 hours before the time needed.
Vans may be used for AA / NA meetings, drug court, and parole hearings.
Vans are NOT to be used to transport residents to or from work unless previously approved by RM or DOH.
NO VAPING, SMOKING or EATING in vans.
Medical Care
Residents will be given an opportunity for a well-woman visit at the CEMPA clinic.
This first visit will be paid for by TLP.
Subsequent visits will be paid for by the resident.
Resident must report any injuries or illness including teeth problems to RM immediately.
Resident will be responsible for medical treatment and medicines unless other arrangements
have been made.
The Resident Manager and DOH must have a complete list of residents' medications.
Any medications prescribed after surgery must be distributed by RM according to the
instructions given.
Illness
In the event a resident reports feeling unwell:
The RM will check on the resident at the first sign of illness or report from a peer.
RM will check symptoms including fever and fill out an illness report indicating all symptoms and
the time of first symptoms.
RM will administer a COVID test or refer the resident to a doctor for a Flu test; if deemed necessary by RM, a Drug Screening.
If the resident is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, RM will contact the resident’s emergency contact for a family member to come pick up immediately.
If a family or contact listed on the resident intake form is not available to pick up the resident, the RM will call an ambulance or their parole officer.
Grounds for Immediate Removal
Failed Drug or Alcohol Screening; being under the influence of any illegal or illegal substances that are not allowed (see list of banned over-the-counter medication). A refusal to take a drug screen or an altered drug screen is considered positive.
Any rent due after 60 days.
Possession of drugs or alcohol; possession of a weapon.
Romantic relationship with any other Launch Pad resident; both parties will be dismissed.
Threats (verbal, electronic, or physical) to another resident or staff, acts of violence, destruction, or fighting.
Theft or other criminal activity including any destruction of TLP property.
Falsifying information on any forms, including but not limited to 12-step meeting verification, Job
Search, Leave information, unaccounted-for time, or discrepancies in meeting sheets.
Entering into a romantic or sexual relationship before 90 days of being in the TLP program. If you
are in a relationship, your partner may NOT visit you on LP property.
Eviction Procedure
Resident will be asked to clean her room of all personal belongings including clothing, toiletries, jewelry, photos, and pictures.
Resident is responsible for gathering any of her food in the pantry or refrigerator.
The Launch Pad will hold any personal items left behind for 48 hours. The resident must make an appointment with the DOH to retrieve said items. After 48 hours, these items will be donated.
Residents will leave all items provided to her from TLP. These items include but are not limited to, bedding (including pillows), towels, storage containers, shoe racks, laundry baskets, and plastic hangers.
Resident will be subjected to inspection of items being taken from the house.
Resident will sign an Exit form provided by their RM or the DOH.
Any outstanding rent will be owed to the Launch Pad after the resident’s dismissal.
A resident may reapply for Launch Pad after 30 days of sobriety if they have a $0 balance from a prior LP stay, if there is a bed available, and with approval from the previous RM.
Corrective Action System – 3 Strike Rule
If a resident has 3 corrective actions, she will be asked to leave. A CA may be requested by a RM or PL.
The resident and the person giving the CA will report incident to DOH or ED for discussion.
A “CA” can be given for any of the following:
Breaking any house rule
Dress Code violation if RM or PL has asked for the resident to change
Leaving a meeting early without prior RM approval or lying about meeting attendance.
Disrespecting the staff or peer leaders
Failing room or chore inspection
Smoking or vaping inside the house or TLP vehicles
Not reporting a peer violation or assisting another resident in a violation
Inappropriate posting on any social media
Getting a ride with a man to or from meetings, work, etc. without PL or RM approval
Having a man on the property without prior approval by PL or RM
Quitting a job without approval
Late for curfew
Missing a House meeting, program, or outing without prior approval from PL, RM or DOH
